Permanent Eyebrows is an old term for eyebrow tattooing. We now use the term “semi-permanent” as pigments are implanted shallower in the skin to last 2 – 3 years and are not permanent tattoos.
Permanent eyebrows are part of our semi-permanent makeup range of services. We use a process called cosmetic micropigmentation to implant pigment into the epidermis layer of the skin. Permanent Eyebrows should not be permanent but, when applied correctly, should last for 2 – 3 years.
Cosmetic Micropigmentation
Cosmetic micropigmentation applies pigment to the epidermis layer (outer layer) of the skin to popular makeup areas of the face, such as the eyebrows, eyelids, and lips. The exact depth the pigment is implanted is crucial to allow the pigment to be expelled naturally out of the skin. Too deep, and the results are permanent. Too shallow, and the process lasts only a few months.

However, some people are unsure if semi-permanent makeup and cosmetic micropigmentation are for them. Our Eyelash Enhancement procedure is what we call an introduction to semi-permanent makeup. The gaps between the lash line are filled in with pigment, resulting in a solid lash line. This is a very subtle look and ideal for anyone considering semi-permanent makeup and would like to see the process without worrying about an overpowering look.
